Tatyana Makarova - Director
(ballet technique, pointe, variations)
B.A. Moscow Business College, Director of the Cincinnati Dance Academy, Artistic Director of the Next Generation Dance Co. She received her education under some of the Soviet Union's finest ballet teachers of the Kirov Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg and Vaganova Ballet School of Norilisk. In 1997 she founded Cincinnati Dance Academy.
Guest Faculty
Soloist of the Cincinnati Ballet. Mr. Wardlaw has previously been seen in
Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Peter Pan
and
Nutcraker.
He has toured Germany and France and was a guest Principal with the Ballet Contemperano, Venezuela. He received his training at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the Kirov Academy.
Ellen Zipperstein(modern dance, improvisational movement)
B.F.A. New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Prior to moving to Cincinnati, she performed in NYC with the Bertrom Ross Dance Company. Ms. Zipperstein has taught Modern Dance and Ballet at Northern Kentucky University, JCC, and the Contemporary Dance Theater.
Steve Irwin
(hip hop)
Mr. Irwin has been a performer, choreographer and teacher for over 10 years. He has performed in dinner theaters, cruise ships, and touring companies around the United States. As a teacher, he has taught at Northern Kentucky University, the Cincinnati Ballet Co., Cincinnati Playhouse-in-the-Park and Contemporary Dance Theatre.
Oliver Arana(ballet, pas de deux)
Born in Lima, Peru, Oliver started his career as a Principal Dancer with Ballet Municipal de Lima. He also danced with Ballet de Nacional de Caracas and Ballet Classico de Camara in Venezuela and in the United States with Bay Ballet Theatre, Cleveland Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet.
